NOVAGOLD Releases 2016 Annual Report

NOVAGOLD

In a sense, the theme of NOVAGOLD’s latest annual report – Empowerment. Stewardship. Respect. – can be seen as a distillation of the mining company’s ethos: building collaborative, mutually beneficial relationships. In 2016, as NOVAGOLD continued to advance its flagship asset, Donlin Gold, toward production, it reached out to residents of southwestern Alaska’s Yukon-Kuskokwim region, where the deposit is located. “We learned we share the same values and priorities,” reads the introduction to the annual report, which goes on to say that Donlin Gold “should be developed responsibly and in a way that provides tangible benefits to the region, both now and well into the future.” The report continues to showcase, in addition to investor-specific information, stories from and about people in the region who will be affected by the development of Donlin Gold. The result is a 36-page book that makes a compelling case for investing in NOVAGOLD. Anchorage-based Matt Hage provided photography; helveticka provided conceptual development, design, copywriting and editing, and project management.
