Securing Hecla’s Future. Hecla acquired the Rock Creek project in June 2015 and the Montanore project in September 2016. Just 10 miles apart and 50 miles from Lucky Friday, they’re two of the largest undeveloped silver and copper deposits in North America. The permitting processes for Rock Creek and Montanore are ongoing; we believe that one of them could conceivably become a mine in the next 6-7 years.

Greens Creek has successfully operated in the Admiralty Island National Monument for 27 years. We can apply the knowledge and expertise that we’ve gained working in environmentally sensitive areas to the large Rock Creek and Montanore projects in Montana.
 ROCK CREEK AND MONTANORE
While San Sebastian continues to perform well above expectations, our most recent acquisitions – Rock Creek in 2015, Montanore in 2016 – have the potential to generate significant shareholder value over the long term.
These deposits are among the largest silver development projects in the United States. Together, their contained silver resources are significantly larger than the rest of Hecla’s assets combined. Both Rock Creek and Montanore fit the profile we’re looking for in an asset: long-lived and low-cost. And, just 50 miles from Lucky Friday, they’re in an area of Montana that needs economic development. They’re much further along from a regulatory standpoint than people might think, with one of them conceivably in production in the next 6-7 years.
We believe the recent transition in the U.S. administration is

positive for our Montana projects. The focus on streamlining regulation is being reflected in the appointees to the various departments, and we look forward to working with them as we advance these projects to production.
