George Hughes, 63 medical technologist
George is getting older, he says, and there are things he’s been meaning to do. Like get a
tattoo. “A couple of years ago, a guy at work retired – six months later he’s dead. And he
hadn’t done anything he envisioned doing. I see that happening a lot. I’m not waiting.” His rst
tattoo was back in December; the second came about a month later. His family? They found out
when George posted pictures on Facebook.

Ronda Jennen, 38
business owner
When you’re tattooed, you’re judged. But not always by the people you’d think. “All of a sudden,” explains Ronda, “I’ve noticed that I’ve become a member of this secret society or something. Whenever I’m out in public, some guy with a tattoo will walk up to me and say, ‘What’s up!’ I’ve had complete strangers, also with tattoos, scream from across the street, ‘I love your work!’ Even when I’m in
the car...”
