HUBS the heart of every wheel
edco has designed and built hubs for a number of leading brands for more than 30 years. Precision-machined in Switzerland and hand-assembled in The Netherlands, every road hub employs our patented Multisys freehub body for compatibility with Shimano/SRAM and Campagnolo cassettes. edco-designed bearings mean years of ultra-smooth riding; a 5-point sealing system ensures minimum resistance and maximum protection.

Most premium hubs on the market today use ordinary industrial bearings, also known as cartridge bearings. While they offer a balance between performance, life, and cost, they’re designed for a broad range of uses and applications. Bicycle hubs are different, though. Operating at relatively low speeds, they not only require a tight seal against water and dirt, but also must withstand both radial and axial loads. edco has developed its own bearing speci cation to provide each hub with years of trouble-free, high-performance use. Lubrication, ball and raceway tolerances, seal design: everything is considered and tested – both in the lab and in the real world – before we put them in any edco hub.
