~ mine rescue training at the Kensington mine
TALENTED PROFESSIONALS
Talented health and safety professionals are employed at each of our mine operations, including well-trained mine emergency and response personnel, and surface re ghting and hazardous materials teams. The unique landscape and scope of each mine site requires each of our safety teams to specialize in operation-speci c training. For sites in the most remote areas, Coeur provides access to health and safety staff – including emergency medical technicians and, in some cases, licensed physicians – who are available to provide assistance 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Our Palmarejo mine maintains a rst-class, fully self-suf cient medical facility equipped to provide a wide range of treatments. Coeur employs three fully accredited physicians and three nurses in addition to a staff of paramedics and EMTs. From emergency trauma to disease prevention to routine medical examinations, the medical clinic at Palmarejo offers patient care to employees, contractors, and residents of the greater Palmarejo community.

Our Kensington mine in Southeast Alaska, accessible only by boat or air, maintains an on-site emergency medical service facility staffed full-time by two paramedics. In the event that more advanced treatment is required, our safety staff can consult with a contracted physician in nearby Juneau.
